- Contemporary binding consists of red leather-covered boards and spine. There are gold gilt inscriptions and accents on the cover, spine and endpapers. Endpapers are of blue silk moiré. Pages and secondary supports are of white paper with gold gilt edging. The book is comprised of a presentation page, title page, list of Her Majesty's Commissioners, table of contents, list of illustrations, 358 pages of text and 5 photographs. The book is encased in a maroon cloth-covered clamshell case.
