"Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is one of the great figures of 20th century architecture and his fame has gone beyond the American context, where most of his built work is located. Several of his projects have become emblematic, notably the famous House on the Cascade and the Guggenheim Museum in New York inaugurated the year of his death. Wright published A Testament at the age of 90, having already published an Autobiography. Thus, freed from the strictly personal aspects of his career, he can concentrate on his creative activity, his sources of inspiration, on the state of architecture since the end of the 19th century and take stock of his entire work that he comments on. Author of numerous theoretical texts, Wright strives here to ensure greater dissemination of his thought, including a synthetic presentation of the nine founding principles of organic architecture, since, going against the tide of a carefree and materialist America, he advocated a more spiritual conception of life, respectful of Man and Nature.
