Professor Jonathan Bignell presents and analyses a television broadcast of Open University course A305 for contemporary eyes and ears. In the episode "An Architect At Work," Geoffrey Baker presents the process of design through his own house, revealing the references that he used, and the decisions and compromises he had to make along the way. Annotating the episode, Bignell considers the television form rather than the architectural content; he asks questions like, what does the camera do? Produced to accompany 'The University is now on air: broadcasting the modern architecture', an exhibition curated by Joaquim Moreno, held at the CCA, 15 November 2017-1 April 2018.
