"The Archive of Forgetfulness is shaped by convergences and divergences, overlaps and variations in perspectives and positions. Each phase of the project has built on what came before, yet expands into a new offering. The website offers a unique platform to hold the accumulation of these varied works in a moment of simultaneity, to engage with the difficulties of African pasts, the messiness of promise and potential in moments of decolonisation and anti-colonialism, and to explore possibilities for alternative futures.
