Sound recording of the lectures given by Janos Baracs and curator Michael Lewis at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal, Dec. 15, 1992, in the context of the exhibition "Apprendre de toutes pièces = Toys that teach", Dec. 16, 1992-Apr. 25, 1993. The lectures discuss the work of German educator Friedrich Fröbel, the creator of the kindergarten, the relationship of geometric toys to architecture and how the toys of the German kindergarten movement were adapted to North American conditions.
