Résumé:
Daido Moriyama (born 1938) first attracted international attention in the 1970s, with his gritty, black-and-white photographs of Shinjuku, a bustling area of Tokyo. Published for a spring 2012 exhibition at Reflex Art Gallery, Amsterdam, and with more than 230 large-scale images, Journey for Something offers an exciting overview of Moriyama’s new work, as well as his classic images and some never-before-seen photographs that have been carefully selected by the artist for this volume. Many of Moriyama’s photographs are shot with a light, hand-held camera, at times through a window or from across the street, often as if he were a tourist himself. A wide assortment of playful and almost surrealist images, Journey for Something follows Moriyama from Tokyo to Osaka, from shimmering rows of nightclubs to shoes dangling from a telephone wire and a man running naked through the streets.

Résumé:
Every day, throughout that tumultuous spring of 2020, Dutch artist Erik Kessels and French artist Thomas Sauvin sent one another idiosyncratic, uncaptioned photographs, catalyzing an organic, free-associative exchange of some 120 archival images. Author Kingston Trinder then composed an equally free-associative, altogether-whimsical narrative with which to further entwine the duo’s eclectic photographs. These two archives of vernacular photography, one from the East, the other from the West, achieve a dialogue through the recurrence of photographic practices, aesthetics and subjects.'Talk Soon', a tearaway postcard book with a spiral binding, allows readers to endlessly juxtapose the delightful photographs selected by the two quarantined artists.

Résumé:
This edition is the result of a strange detective story, initiated by photographer Michel Campeau. While clearing out his mother s house, Campeau discovered a strange image amongst her possessions: a piglet in a restaurant, being fed milk by a customer. Some time later, he stumbled across another, similar picture by accident. Intrigued Campeau decided to seek out more of these piglet mascots. His quest yielded over 200 images, the most striking of which are collected here. This is a book of obsessions; both Campeau's own and that of the original piglet snapper. All pictures are taken in restaurant Au Lutin Qui Bouffe in Montreal led by patron Mr McAbbie.
