Résumé:
Bram de Does is among the most important contemporary typographers in the Netherlands. He was the chief typographic designer for the famous Dutch printers Enschedé having started work there in 1958. His typefaces Trinité‚ and Lexicon have become two of the most widely used in the Netherlands and he won the prestigious H.N.Werkman prize in 1991 for the design of the Trinité‚. His bibliophile publications, many of which he sets and prints himself in his own workshop 'Spectatorpers', quickly become collectors items. This publication is the first major study of his entire oeuvre and contains the commentary of several other designers on the practical use of the Trinité and the Lexicon. The contributors are: Harry Sierman, Bern van Bercum, Walter Nikkels, Brigitte Slangen, Jost Hochuli, Hans Peter Willberg, and Dale Tomlinson.
