AP207.S1.1967.PR02
Description:
This project series documents The Pig "Carosello Italiano", a film made in the winter of 1967-1968 by Gianni Pettena with archivale footage and shots by Pettena himself. The film is "a comment on the violence of power and consumerism". [1] It consists of a montage of violent scenes, like the Vietnam war, protest demonstrations, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, intersected with images of "mass society's rituals: traffic, shopping and parades in costume"[2]. The project series contains a video recording on VHS of the film, project descriptions in English and in Italian, and a digital version of the film. Source: [1] [2] Marco Scotini, editor. Non-conscious architecture: Gianni Pettena, Sternberg Press, 2018, 235 pages. p. 100.

Description:
Series consists of binders of photographic material made by Gordon Matta-Clark (1943-1978) or at his direction. Three of the binders include material made on trips to Mexico, South America and Europe along with photographs of activities in New York. Additionally, the other three binders contain CCA-made copies of originals in the possession of Jane Crawford and owned by the Estate of Gordon Matta-Clark, which document Matta-Clark's early projects. While few of the photographs in these binders relate directly to his finished projects, it is assumed that many of the photographs were made with the intention of using them in future projects. Material in this series was produced between 1943 and 1978. Series contains ring binders and digital photographs.

Description:
Series 1, Project files for competition, 2003-2004, documents the first design phase of the project originally titled Best Nest, which would later become the Ford Calumet Environmental Center. The records consist largely of digital photographs documenting the original state of the site and its surroundings. AutoCAD drawings and physical early design sketches, research and studies document the design for bird screen, column bundles, roof and environmental systems. The records also include study models for column bundles and pod layout with the screen representing the early stages of the design. The records also contain email correspondence between Studio Gang Architects and other project stakeholders, budget records, and a PowerPoint presentation and presentation model for competition final presentation.

Projet
AP207.S1.2009.PR02
Description:
The project series documents the installation "Forgiving Architecture" presented at the ReMap2, Athens Biennal, in 2009. The installation consists of strips of paper vertically hung across the facades of the building to be moved by the breeze. "The air of Athens, its constant breezes, suggest the extent to which nature can “forgive,” can find a poetic communication, like the foliage of a forest in the wind. Nothing can be lighter and more mobile than static architecture!" [1] The project series contains sketches, perspective drawings, visual instructions, and photographs of the installation, including digital photographs of the installation in Athens in 2009. Description:
This project series documents a proposal for Phat Studios in New York City from 1996-1997. The office identified the project number as 9618. This project, designed for record label Def Jam Records, was to be built on the corner of Jamaica Avenue and 160th Street in Queens. The design would then potentially be replicated for Def Jam in Los Angelos and Atlanta. The project would consist of a recording studio, restaurant, comedy club, listening lounge and retail space for label co-founder Russel Simmon's Phat Farm clothing brand. This project was never realized. The project is recorded through drawings and a photograph of the existing site dating from 1996-1997. The drawings are mostly original sketches but some digital renderings of the project are also included.
