Nicolay Boyadjiev

Nicolay Boyadjiev is an architect and creative director based between Copenhagen, Sofia and Los Angeles. He is currently Practice Lab Director at re:arc institute — where he oversees research, strategy and new explorations prototyping alternatives models for philanthropy in architecture — and Studio Director of Antikythera's s philosophy of technology think tank hosted at Berggruen Institute.  He was formerly Co-Director of Strelka Institute’s postgraduate program in Moscow, where he led “The New Normal” and “The Terraforming” interdisciplinary design-research programs. Prior to Strelka, he has worked as a designer, researcher and strategist at internationally renowned studios ranging from boutique consultancies to large architectural offices. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Architecture from McGill University (2011).

 

Alena Prochazka

Alena Prochazka holds a Ph.D. in Urban Studies and has taught architectural studio at the schools of architecture in Quebec, mainly at UofM. She has been a jury member at numerous architectural events in Canada and abroad. She has led an international research team involving scientific and architectural scholars form Montreal, Chicago and Paris on the subject of Urban Roofscape through the prism of Energy and Ecosystems.

 

Daniel Zamarbide

Daniel Zamarbide is an architect recognized both in Switzerland and internationally for his experience in the design and construction of research-oriented architecture. After 15 years as founder and partner of group8 architects, he now concentrates his transdisciplinary work in various contexts with a strong link to cultural and artistic programs. Between 2015-2023 he has been co-director of ALICE-EPFL and SUPERSTUDIO (2022-23) and was a Professor at HEAD between 2008 and 2021. Founder of BUREAU in 2012 (Switzerland - Portugal), his research lies at the intersections of architecture, scenography, design, landscape architecture, and publishing. Invited as a lecturer and juror, Daniel is regularly asked to present the work and research of BUREAU in various Swiss and international institutions such as the ETH Zurich, USI Mendrisio, HEAD Genève, ECA Lausanne, ÉNSA Versailles, Maison de l’Architecture Genève, Singapore UTD, Vitra Design Museum, BDA Galerie Berlin, Venice Architecture Biennale, Lisbon Architecture Triennale and Istanbul Design Biennale. His writings and works are also published in numerous journals and books such as A+U Japan, Gestalten, C3 magazine and BaunetzWoche, BAUMEISTER, and Wallpaper. Daniel is currently a guest professor at Université Laval, Québec.
