Projet
AP056.S1.1993.PR03
Description:
This project series documents a proposal for the headquarters of TV Ontario (TVO) in Toronto from 1993-1994. The office identified the project number as 9305. This project proposed a seven-storey office building located at the corner of Simcoe and Nelson Streets. The site eventually changed to the corner of Sherbourne and King Streets. The TVO headquarters would include several television studios, a café, theatre, retail space, terrace and leasable areas. A tape library and parking would be provided below grade. A prominent spiral staircase from the ground floor to the second floor would be the focal point of the main lobby. The building's exterior would be primarily glass, with brick used at the ground floor. This project was never built. The project is recorded through original and reprographic copies of drawings dating from 1993-1994. The drawings consist of sketches, presentation drawings, plans, elevations, sections and axonometric drawings.

Description:
- One of a group of working drawings for William Burn's October 1849 project for Fonthill House, Wiltshire, a country house designed in the Jacobethan style. This group represents only one of the projects that Burn proposed for Fonthill House; the final project, executed in 1856, was much smaller (Walker, 31, illustrated in Hitchcock, vol. 2, fig. VIII 31). Drawings include plans, elevations, and sections, as well as full-scale drawings of masonry details. Approximately half of the drawings are part of a numbered series from one to twenty-two, while the other drawings, mostly masonry details, were not numbered. These latter drawings are not as carefully finished, and a few are incomplete.

Description:
The project series documents "La Mia Casa All'Elba", Pettena's house in Viticcio on the Island of Elba. The project, started in 1978, remained an ongoing project as the house has undergone many transformations over the years. The residence "is conditioned by its relationship with the physical context, the material and the working of space." [1] Pettena even reused some of the material already on site to build the residence. The house is comprised of different pavilions and spaces interconnected by small paths: "The house has progressively been defined as a sequence of spaces connected by routes, just like in a village. So it goes on growing almost like a primitive village, through intentions, successive organizations of spaces that define one another and are linked together." [2] The project series contains a sketch, plans, perspective drawings of the house and later additions. The project series is also comprised of photographs, including interior views showing artworks, photographs of Elba possibly used for research, and two videocassettes possibly with recordings of TV shows presenting the house.
