Inflow Capsule
1967
File 69
File documents a report by Cedric Price on Inflow Capsule, a concept for the Selfridges store, on Oxford Street, London, England. The design concept called for a self-contained unit at street level that would act as a funnel to attract customers into large department stores. The capsule would contain goods, displays, screens, its own illumination, heating and visual feeds. It would combine entertainment with selling and thus construct a new atmosphere for the market place. Material in this file was produced in 1967.
File contains textual records.
