Adri Duivesteijn Goes to Porto
Excerpts from an interview
Between 1980 and 1989 Adri Duivesteijn was Alderman of Housing, Physical Planning, and Urban Renewal of the City of The Hague, and he was deputy mayor between 1986 and 1989. His collaboration with Álvaro Siza on a social housing project in the Schilderswijk neighbourhood was the first of many commissions that he initiated to bring international architects to build in The Hague.
This is an excerpt from an interview we did with Adri Duivesteijn for our exhibition Corner, Block, Neighbourhood, Cities: Álvaro Siza in Berlin and The Hague, which was presented in 2015 and 2016.
